Notice of AGM

The AGM of the Medway Towns Bands will be held on Monday 27th February at Napier CP School at 2000.

Notice of changes to the Constitution; in accordance with the constitution, notice is ereby given for the following proposed changes to the Bands Consitution;

a) that the two Band Managers should be specified as one of the 3 committee members elected from each band.

b) that it should be made more explicit that only members who have paid their contributions up to the end of the last financial year may vote at the AGM.

All members are urged to attend.

Band CD is now Available

The Band's brand new CD, 'Programme Notes' is now available. Orders can be made through the Band Manager for £10, plus postage and packing.

Band Open Morning a Huge Success!

On Saturday 14th January, over 200 parents and pupils crammed into the school hall to enjoy two fun packed hours with the bands. The morning was very informal with all present encouraged to wander around the bands or sit in hilst the bands played. The Medway Band started things off by playing three pieces. This was probably the first time that many in the hall had ever heard a full brass band playing live!

The Band is now based at Napier CP School!

As from July 2011, the Medway Towns Bands have been based at Napier Community Primary and Nursery School on Napier Road in Gillingham.
