The band was formed as the 'Medway Towns Band' in 1928 and KM Medway Concert Brass became an offshoot in 1987, the aim at the time being to promote a youth band. This has developed into a the present band, catering for musicians of mixed ability who enjoy making music with a friendly organisation.

Our door is always open for any person who is interested in music either as a player or non player.

The band enjoys continuing support from the Kent Messenger Group Newspapers.
